: Adobe introduces its Firefly Video Model within Premiere Pro, enabling users to generate video content from images and text prompts. The new Generative Extend tool, available in beta, allows short extensions of clips at 720p or 1080p resolution. Adobe has unveiled its Firefly Video Model, targeting generative AI video creation directly within its Premiere Pro software. The rollout includes the Generative Extend tool, a feature in beta that assists in extending video clips by up to two seconds, making minor adjustments without needing a reshoot. Despite the limitations of resolution at 720p or 1080p, this tool promises improved efficiency for creatives.

In addition to the Premiere Pro tools, Adobe introduced Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video capabilities via its Firefly web app, initially announced to the public in September. These tools are designed for more creative video generation, allowing users to describe desired video scenes or use existing images and text prompts to influence outcomes. Although Adobe’s solutions currently produce videos capped at five seconds with 720p resolution, it's a significant step in video creation, differentiating itself by offering a 'commercially safe' usage model.

Furthermore, Adobe emphasized the commercial viability of its AI video tools and the incorporation of Content Credentials to address AI ownership rights. Videos generated through these new tools can be embedded with these credentials, ensuring clarity on content creation sources. Aspects of these developments were presented during Adobe's MAX conference, alongside other AI-powered enhancements across its software suite.
