Alienware resurrects iconic Area-51 gaming PC with monstrous $4,500 launch model

Alienware releases new Area-51 PC with high power specs for $4,500.

: Alienware has revived its iconic Area-51 gaming PC as a new flagship model. The massive 80L tower supports up to 600W Nvidia GPUs and 280W Intel CPUs. Its Positive Pressure design enhances cooling by 25% more airflow, 13% cooler operation, and 45% quieter performance. The PC is upgradable and priced at $4,499 for the launch model, with more affordable options coming later.

Alienware has brought back the legendary Area-51 gaming desktop as its new flagship, after discontinuing it since the 2017 announcement of the Area 51 R4. The 80L full tower offers tremendous power, with the ability to support up to 600W of graphics processing for high-end Nvidia GPUs and 280W for Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPUs.

To handle the heavy power demands, the system includes a revamped cooling system utilizing Alienware's Positive Pressure design. By aggressively moving air through the chassis, this design achieves 25% more efficient airflow, keeps components 13% cooler, and reduces noise levels by 45% compared to previous models.

The new Area-51 is also highly upgradable with easily accessible parts and educational guides. This $4,499 powerhouse arrives in the first quarter of 2025, with additional models planned to cater to different budget ranges throughout the year.
