Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium brings the franchise's mobile tactics gameplay to the PC platform with a new 3D-rendered aesthetic. Set a decade after the original, players take on the role of 'Commander' and guide T-Dolls through irradiated zones as they uncover a deep conspiracy entwined with ambitious AI adversaries and the mystery left by G&K corporation.

The game's visual style shows a striking departure from the original, adopting a darker and more mature anime design. This upgrade allows for detailed battlefields and tactical gameplay reminiscent of classics like XCOM 2, where characters are divided into roles such as Sentinel, Vanguard, Bulwark, and Support, to strategically maneuver and fight foes.

Players have the chance to customize and evolve their T-Dolls by equipping fashionable accessories and exploring their storylines through a unique RPG-like progression. Outside combat, T-Dolls can relax in specially designed dormitories, with intimate mini-scenes deepening the player's connection to characters, culminating in exclusive story cutscenes known as Covenant Projections.
