Apple invests $500B in US, focusing on AI and manufacturing, including new Houston facility.
Apple has unveiled a significant commitment to invest $500 billion in U.S. manufacturing and innovation over the next four years. This substantial investment will cover areas like high-end manufacturing, AI, chip-making, and educational initiatives.
A new AI server facility measuring 250,000-square-feet will be established in Houston, scheduled for completion by 2026. In parallel, Apple plans to expand server capacity in existing data centers and double its Advanced Manufacturing Fund to $10 billion.
The initiative underscores Apple's dedication to American innovation and aims to reduce reliance on foreign manufacturing. A Detroit-based Apple Manufacturing Academy will train workforces in AI and smart manufacturing, fostering collaboration with small and medium businesses.
