Apple releases iOS 18 with new features and guides users on how to update their iPhones.
Apple has made iOS 18 available for all compatible iPhone models, as of Monday afternoon. The latest operating system is pre-loaded on iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, and iPhone 16 Pro models which will be released on September 20.
To update, users should head to Settings > General > About > Software Update. Notable new features include upgrades to Apple Maps, Calendar integration with Reminders, and expanded Tapback options in Messages, along with Safari's new Highlights function.
Apple Intelligence, a significant new feature, will be available starting in October with a subsequent update. Besides iOS 18, Apple has also rolled out updates for its other major operating systems including iPadOS 18, visionOS 2, macOS Sequoia, tvOS 18, and watchOS 11.
