Apple has unveiled the A18 and A18 Pro chips, highlighting significant performance gains for the iPhone 16 series.

: Apple introduced the A18 and A18 Pro chips for the iPhone 16, claiming notable performance enhancements. The A18 Pro, equipped with a 6-core CPU and a desktop-class GPU, offers 15% better performance and 20% power savings. Non-Pro models feature a 30% faster CPU and 40% improved graphics. The A18 chips also bring advanced media support and improved thermals for sustained peak performance.

Apple unveiled the A18 and A18 Pro chips alongside the iPhone 16 series, boasting significant leaps in performance and efficiency. The A18 Pro, built on a 3nm process, features a 6-core CPU with two performance cores and four efficiency cores, promising a 15% performance boost and 20% reduced power consumption.

The A18 Pro's GPU is 20% faster and offers 2x speedier ray tracing. It also includes a 2x uplift in video encoding thanks to its advanced image signal processor and supports new features like always-on display and ProRes video recording.

The standard A18 chip also delivers substantial upgrades for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models, with a 30% faster CPU and 40% improved graphics compared to the A16. These chips bring better thermals for peak performance during gaming and AI enhancements through Apple's unchanged neural engine.
