Apple has announced a refresh of its MacBook Pro lineup, equipping them with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. The new chips promise industry-leading CPU and GPU performance, alongside notable increases in RAM and machine learning capabilities.
The updated 14-inch and 16-inch models now feature Thunderbolt 5 ports and improvements like 12-megapixel webcams and high-brightness displays. They are available for preorder immediately and will retail starting at $1,999 for the 14-inch version with upgraded base RAM of 24GB.
Apple's latest advancement emphasizes not only chip upgrades but also ancillary improvements like better connectivity. The company is gradually increasing RAM specifications across its M2 and M3 MacBook Air models as well, hinting at broader future upgrades across their product ranges.
