As Ozlo’s Sleepbuds go on sale, company raises funds for tinnitus treatment
Ozlo releases $299 Sleepbuds, raises $12M for tinnitus treatment.
Ozlo, founded by former Bose executives, has introduced its new Sleepbuds priced at $299. After Bose discontinued its Sleepbuds line, Ozlo took up the mantle and improved upon its predecessors by adding streaming capability, filling a significant gap identified in earlier versions.
Alongside this release, the company has successfully secured $12 million in funding, spearheaded by LifeArc Ventures with contributions from Drive by DraftKings, Wise Ventures, and others. These funds will be directed towards developing second-generation Sleepbuds and obtaining FDA-clearance for tinnitus therapy, targeting the 10% of the population affected by this condition.
The Sleepbuds have demonstrated potential in enhancing sleep quality through ambient music streaming. Although minor connectivity issues have been noted, the product has filled a niche for users needing both preloaded sounds and user-defined streaming options, ensuring its place in the evolving wearables market.
