Asus has unveiled its latest external GPU, ROG XG Mobile, which leverages Thunderbolt 5 connectivity to deliver a high-performance gaming and content creation experience. Equipped with the formidable GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, this eGPU supports up to 80 gigabits per second of bandwidth, showcasing significant improvement over its predecessor.
In addition to exceptional performance, the ROG XG Mobile boasts versatile connectivity with HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1 outputs, 5G Ethernet, and USB ports, making it an excellent I/O expansion device for laptops. The transparent case design and RGB lighting effects enhance its aesthetic appeal, aligning with modern tech trends.
This device is set to launch by the end of Q1 2025 with a price tag of $2,200 for the RTX 5090 version, while a more affordable model featuring an RTX 5070 Ti GPU is priced at $1,200 for later release.
