Ayaneo launches OLED retro gaming handheld with a unique button setup
Ayaneo's new Pocket DMG handheld features a unique button setup, OLED screen, and powerful specs for retro and modern gaming.
Ayaneo has launched the Pocket DMG, a new retro gaming handheld with an OLED screen and unique button setup. Unlike devices like the Analog Pocket, the Pocket DMG is an Android-based handheld featuring powerful internals comparable to the Pocket S.
The device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 SoC paired with an Adreno A32 GPU, offering various configurations from 8GB RAM/128GB storage to 16GB RAM/1TB storage. Its 3.92-inch 500-nit OLED panel and high PPI ensure crisp visuals, supporting both retro ROMs and modern Android titles.
The Pocket DMG stands out with its button arrangement, including a Hall Effect anti-drift analog stick and a trackpad. The physical dial on the side can be mapped for multiple functions, adding to the customizable controls. Prices start at $339, reaching up to $600, positioning it close to some Windows handheld gaming PCs.
