Black Desert Online is set to revolutionize its PvP content with the introduction of 'War of the Roses,' a grand massive PvP mode designed to engage 600 players at once. This battle mode mirrors the scale and intensity of World of Warcraft’s Alterac Valley but on an even larger scale, featuring 300 players on each side fighting for dominance and rewards.

The inaugural season of War of the Roses kicks off on July 14. However, participation is exclusive; happening once every two weeks, the Leading Guilds from Node Wars and Conquest Wars pick the first 100 fighters per side. The remaining 200 slots are filled by randomly selected players, forming the Third Legion.

Developers Pearl Abyss have crafted this mode to emphasize strategic planning and objectives. Guild leaders have significant powers, including setting strategic goals and deploying in-game effects. The outcome hinges on killing the opposing faction’s NPC commander within two hours if not, the faction with the highest remaining HP on their commander wins.
