Black Myth: Wukong GPU Benchmark

Benchmark test of 43 GPUs using Black Myth: Wukong's cinematic and high-quality presets at multiple resolutions, including ray tracing and upscaling.

: This benchmark analysis evaluates the performance of 43 GPUs on Black Myth: Wukong, utilizing Unreal Engine 5. It tests five configurations at various resolutions and focuses on ray tracing and upscaling techniques. Performance was measured using the cinematic and high-quality presets, offering insights into GPU capabilities from the current and previous generations.

This analysis meticulously benchmarks 43 different GPUs while running Black Myth: Wukong, which features advanced visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5. The focus is on understanding how each GPU handles different graphical settings, ray tracing configurations, and upscaling technologies to deliver performance metrics across multiple resolutions.

The evaluation includes using both cinematic and native quality presets and examines various levels of ray tracing – from medium to very high. For upscaling, DLSS is used for GeForce cards, while FSR and XeSS are used for other models. Benchmark testing involved over 40 hours across two Ryzen 7 7800X3D systems, ensuring consistent, reproducible results.

Performance metrics reveal that GPUs like the RTX 4090 can handle the most demanding settings smoothly, while others fall short. For example, AMD's 7900 XTX struggles with very high ray tracing settings but performs better at medium. Scalability from high to medium-quality settings shows substantial performance boosts, making the game more accessible across various GPU models.
