Canva has increased prices for its Teams product
Canva raised prices for its Teams product, citing the growth of its generative AI tools as a factor.

Canva, the design platform, has raised prices steeply for some customers, particularly for its Teams product. U.S. subscribers on older pricing plans now see a jump from $119.99 to $500 annually, while Australian users face a new fee of $13.50 AUS per month for each user. These changes do not affect Canva’s Pro or Enterprise tiers.
This substantial price hike is attributed partially to Canva's growing suite of generative AI tools, such as Magic Studio. The company quietly altered prices for new customers earlier this year and is now adjusting prices for existing users who had been paying less. A Canva spokesperson explained this move is to reflect the product's expanded experience.
Canva’s price hike has not been well received by its customers, many of whom noted the change was communicated via emails rather than publicly. This comes as Canva prepares for an IPO and has made significant acquisitions, including Serif for ~$380 million and Leonardo in August. The adjustments mark a significant shift from Canva's origins as an affordable alternative to platforms like Adobe.
