: ChatGPT's weekly active users have reached 200 million, doubling from 100 million since last November, according to OpenAI. Apple, Nvidia, and Microsoft are in talks to invest in OpenAI, pushing its valuation above $100 billion. Microsoft has invested $13 billion since 2019, while Apple plans to integrate ChatGPT in its Apple Intelligence initiative.

ChatGPT now boasts 200 million weekly active users, doubling its audience from 100 million reported last November, OpenAI confirmed. API usage saw a similar increase following the release of GPT-4o mini in July.

OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman disclosed to employees that the company's annualized revenue surged to $3.4 billion from $1.6 billion at the end of the previous year. This significant growth underscores the platform's expanding influence in the AI sector.

In a separate report by The Wall Street Journal, Apple, Nvidia, and Microsoft are considering investments in a new funding round for OpenAI, which could elevate its valuation above $100 billion. Microsoft's total investment in OpenAI since 2019 stands at $13 billion, while Apple plans to embed ChatGPT into its forthcoming Apple Intelligence platform.
