Chinese AR brand Rokid celebrates 10th anniversary with launch of Rokid Glasses
Rokid unveils new AR glasses at 10th anniversary celebration.
Rokid, a Chinese AR company, celebrated its 10th anniversary with a launch event in Hangzhou, China. CEO Misa Zhu announced the release of the new Rokid Glasses, developed in partnership with Bolon, expected to go on sale in the second quarter of 2025 at a price of RMB 2,499 ($345).
These AR glasses feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 platform and additional AI capabilities through Alibaba's Tongyi Qianwen large language model, including search, translation, and health reminders. Weighing 49 grams, the glasses offer up to four-hour continuous use with a 20-minute full charge time and can be customized for nearsighted users.
Additionally, Rokid unveiled the Rokid Spatial Link, a device to project small-screen displays onto larger spatial screens, which will also become available in the second quarter of 2025 at RMB 699 ($96). It is compatible with various devices supporting DP protocol, enhancing traditional device connectivity with AR technology.
