Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’ will be re-released in honor of its 10th anniversary on December 6, having been initially scheduled for September 27. It will be showcased in 70mm Imax prints, along with digital screens, as stated by knowledgeable sources. Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures are jointly working on the re-release to synchronize it with the home entertainment relaunch. There were rumors about destruction of 70mm prints, which were disputed by studio sources, citing the archiving of numerous copies.

The film, which originally premiered on November 5, 2014, grossed $731 million globally and starred Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Matt Damon. It is set in a dystopian future, following astronauts' quest to find a habitable planet for humanity, earning five Oscar nominations and winning for best visual effects.

Nolan, a strong proponent of film and Imax, previously advocated for 'Oppenheimer' to be viewed in 70mm Imax, resulting in sold-out screenings. Known for directing highly successful films like ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy, ‘Inception,’ and ‘Tenet,’ he won his first Oscar for directing and producing ‘Oppenheimer.’
