Corsair Xeneon 34WQHD240-C 34" Review
Corsair's 34-inch monitor offers fast 240Hz refresh but is costly at $1,200.
The Corsair Xeneon 34WQHD240-C is a 34-inch QD-OLED monitor boasting a significant 240Hz refresh rate, offering great motion clarity for gamers. However, at a price point of $1,200, it sits notably higher than competitors like the Dell Alienware AW3423DWF, which offers similar performance with a lower 165Hz refresh rate, usually costing $400 to $500 less.
While the Corsair model has a sleek, distinct design with several features, including ergonomic adjustability and a KVM switch, the build quality is not at the level expected at its price range. Despite exceptional response times and low input lag, the Corsair lacks unique features to make it stand out in a crowded market of high-end ultrawide monitors.
Critics argue that the 240Hz refresh rate improvement over older models doesn’t outweigh its shortcomings, such as limited OLED care features and a locked, blurry sRGB mode. For those primarily gaming at higher refresh rates, the premium might be justified, but for most users, the recommendation is the Dell alternative, which provides excellent performance for a more reasonable cost.
