The anime adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s “Daemons of the Shadow Realm” has been officially announced, marking a reunion between the Fullmetal Alchemist creator and Studio BONES. Revealed at Crunchyroll’s Anime Expo panel in July 2025, the series will adapt Arakawa’s dark fantasy manga centered on supernatural beings called Daemons. A teaser visual introduced the main character, Yuru, hinting at an intense and atmospheric setting.

The production team features key industry veterans. Masahiro Andō will direct the anime, with Noboru Takagi handling series composition. Character designs are by Nobuhiro Arai, and Kenichiro Suehiro is scoring the music.
