Endless Legend 2, the sequel to Amplitude's sublime 4X, is finally coming, and it's fully leaning into the joy of exploration: 'It is a feeling that will stick with you until the end'
Endless Legend 2 embraces exploration, bringing back fan-favorite factions, new mechanics, and an evolving world.

Endless Legend 2 is slated to launch in early access in 2025, bringing players to a new world named Saiadha while saying goodbye to the original setting, Auriga. The sequel not only promises the return of iconic factions such as the Broken Lords and Necrophages but also introduces new factions, expanding the narrative depth and asymmetrical gameplay that fans adore.
Developed by Amplitude Studios, the game incorporates the studio's intent to provide a fresh experience; Saiadha's evolving oceanic landscape changes dynamically, inviting players to engage in a strategic, ever-shifting scramble for resources. Amplitude's Romain de Waubert de Genlis emphasizes that players prefer their creations remain intact, hence the game avoids destructive catastrophic events, focusing instead on evolving challenges that reshape gameplay.
Combat in Endless Legend 2 will take cues from Humankind, adopting a traditional turn-based approach to battles, while keeping the strategy element brisk and compelling. Improving AI remains a priority, with updates expected to enhance the playing experience, ensuring the factions remain distinct and balanced without sacrificing their unique traits. Early access development and community feedback will be crucial as Amplitude continues refining the game toward its 2025 release.
