Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown makes its debut on the Nintendo Switch in a Deluxe Edition form, after a development process that began in 2022. The port has managed to maintain the game's core features, including realistic weather and volumetric clouds, despite facing challenges like rendering issues.

Producer Ryunosuke Hagiwara confirmed that the game targets a variable 30fps on the Switch and supports the same online multiplayer mode as the original, although it doesn't support cross-platform play. Notably, the Top Gun: Maverick Aircraft set will be available separately, adding to its appeal.

The storyline, intricately developed with input from long-time staff and Director Sunao Katabuchi, remains consistent with the 2019 version. Hagiwara also mentioned that this edition includes three original aircraft sets and three SP missions, ensuring a comprehensive experience. The Deluxe Edition aims to offer Nintendo Switch players a thrilling aerial combat experience both at home and on the go.
