Fortnite Festival is getting local co-op, rekindling memories of Rock Band
Fortnite Festival adds local co-op on Xbox, PlayStation, starting Jan 14.

Fortnite Festival, a concert-themed rhythm-action mode within Epic Games' Fortnite, will introduce local co-op gameplay on January 14. Developed by Harmonix, known for Rock Band, this feature activates on Xbox and PlayStation and supports up to four players using guitar-shaped peripherals together in one room.
Announced through a Snoop Dogg-starring trailer, this marks Fortnite Festival's first major feature update of the year as Epic Games continues its support through "2025 and beyond." With an emphasis on rekindling Rock Band's social experience, Harmonix invites players to jam in a shared space, albeit with limited details disclosed.
The co-op update aligns with the conclusion of Snoop Dogg's themed season in Fortnite Festival. Epic Games previously halted theme updates for Rocket Racing and now teases that Vocaloid popstar Hatsune Miku might become the focal point of the mode's upcoming season.
