Fortnite’s latest concert turned pop stars into kaiju
Fortnite's epic concert featured kaiju-sized pop stars and teased a new battle royale island.
Fortnite's latest concert showcased the unique transformation of pop stars Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and the late Juice WRLD into monstrous kaiju figures towering over virtual landscapes. Players were taken on a vibrant journey, starting at Snoop Dogg’s compound, moving into space, and encountering epic battles involving a giant robot and storm with Eminem.
The live event creatively integrated elements of Fortnite's quirky history, reminiscent of past events like Travis Scott's 2020 show. Juice WRLD's part involved players turning into glowing butterflies, harkening back to the pivotal black hole event, setting the stage for the unveiling of a new battle royale island set to go live on December 1st.
In addition to the concert, the event concluded with the premiere of Juice WRLD’s animated video for 'Empty Out Your Pockets'. Epic Games further teased a new season, 'Hunters', introducing gaming icons like Godzilla and Baymax, with a promise of nostalgic features like the original Fortnite map reintroduced as a permanent fixture on December 6th.
