FromSoftware has announced its upcoming project, Elden Ring Nightreign, a multiplayer co-op spinoff scheduled for release in 2025. This new venture was revealed at the 2024 Game Awards and is set to provide players with an intriguing gameplay experience in a universe parallel to Elden Ring's setting.

The game introduces teams of up to three players exploring a dynamically changing map inspired by battle royale mechanics. With eight playable character types, the map in Nightreign shrinks over a three-day cycle, and players face a new boss each night. Roguelike elements include relics that can upgrade characters post-defeat.

A network test will occur in February, and sign-ups are open on Namco's website. While specific pricing details are unknown, the beta is exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. The final product will be available on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
