Google Gemini now brings receipts to your AI chats
Google's Gemini AI can now recall past chat info for users with paid subscriptions.

Google's Gemini AI chatbot now includes a recall feature that allows it to tailor responses based on past conversation history. Rolled out to English-speaking subscribers of the $20-per-month Google One AI Premium, this enhancement aims to make interactions more seamless and personalized by eliminating the need for repeating shared information or reviewing older threads.
The new recall ability is set to expand to additional languages and enterprise accounts in the coming weeks, enhancing its applicability to a broader user base. Addressing privacy concerns, Google provides users the option to review, delete, or determine the duration for which their chat history is retained, and the feature can be fully disabled via the “My Activity” page.
Notably, other AI services like OpenAI have been exploring similar memory functionalities, reflecting a rising trend in AI chatbots to enhance user experience with personalized context. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has previously highlighted user demand for improved memory capabilities, illustrating the industry's shift towards enabling AI systems to remember significant user details more effectively.
