Grok’s new ‘Aurora’ image generator is back, and rolling out to everyone on X
Aurora image generator reappears on X, available to all in a week, despite controversial features.
Grok's Aurora image generator initially launched on X, only to be swiftly removed due to unforeseen circumstances. Users experienced a glimpse of its capabilities, noticing remarkable photorealistic imagery, which garnered widespread attention.
Elon Musk indicated on Twitter that Aurora is an internal tool still in the beta phase, but promised rapid improvements. Despite its temporary removal, the Aurora generator is set to return, reaching all users worldwide within a week.
Concerns arose over Aurora's potential to generate controversial images, like offensive depictions of public figures. However, while the generator displayed such flexibility in prompts, it also maintained certain boundaries, refusing to generate nudity.
