How to use Genmoji to make your own custom emojis
Create custom emojis with Genmoji using Apple Intelligence on iOS 18.2.
With iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2, users can create custom emojis called Genmojis using Apple Intelligence, a feature unveiled at WWDC 2024. This allows for personalization of emojis, such as a 'sad cowboy' or 'octopus DJ', based on simple descriptions or even using photos of known individuals.
To generate a Genmoji, users must have an iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or compatible iPads like those with an M1 chip. The process involves accessing the emoji keyboard, entering a description, and for specific people, selecting from identified photos for more accurate personalization.
Genmojis can be stored in the emoji keyboard for use in various applications, providing limitless creativity to expression. If a created Genmoji is no longer desired, users can easily delete it by accessing the emoji keyboard and selecting Remove after holding down the unwanted icon.
