Kia unveils adventure-ready concept EVs with hydro turbine wheel technology
Kia debuts EV concepts with hydro turbine wheels at SEMA 2024.
Kia introduced two electric vehicles, the EV9 ADVNTR and PV5 WKNDR, at the 2024 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas. These concepts highlight Kia’s innovative approach to sustainable and adventure-ready vehicles, perfect for rugged, outdoor use.
The PV5 WKNDR stands out with its hydro turbine wheel technology, which allows the vehicle to generate electricity from wind and water. Coupled with solar panels, this system enables recharging even in remote areas, making it ideal for small businesses and adventurous weekend warriors.
The EV9 ADVNTR is a robust SUV designed for off-road enthusiasts, featuring custom modifications and enhanced storage options. Meanwhile, the PV5 is set to enter production in South Korea next year, with potential U.S. release depending on regulatory developments.
