: Lamborghini introduced the Temerario, a hybrid car replacing the Huracán, at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. Developed over four and a half years, it features a new 4.0-liter V8, turbochargers, and three electric motors, producing a total of 907 horsepower. At The Quail event during Monterey Car Week, Lamborghini unveiled the Temerario, a hybrid super sports car, marking a significant evolution from the decade-old Huracán. The car has been in development for over four and a half years, with a major push in the last 36 months, led by CTO Rouven Mohr since 2022.

The Temerario boasts a completely new 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with twin turbochargers, disavowing any link to the Audi-sourced engine in the Urus SUV. Enhanced by three axial flux electric motors, it generates a remarkable 907 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque, achieving an acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 2.7 seconds and a top speed exceeding 210 mph.

Despite the hybrid innovations of the Temerario, Lamborghini hasn't neglected its fully electric future, continuing the development of the Lanzador EV concept. This future vehicle will be influenced by market stability and residual value concerns, aiming for a release towards the end of the decade.
