Linktree introduces a suite of monetization features for creators
Linktree's new features enable creators to earn directly via courses, stores, and sponsored links.

Linktree has announced a new suite of monetization tools aimed at empowering creators to earn directly via its platform. This includes the introduction of course sales, enabled through a partnership with Kajabi, allowing experts to monetize their knowledge in fields such as fitness training or music instruction. Additionally, creators can now offer digital products like e-books and templates directly on Linktree, moving away from previous dependencies on services like SendOwl. CEO Alex Zaccaria highlighted the vision for making these offerings more accessible to a wide audience.
The update introduces shoppable storefronts, enabling creators in the U.S. to earn commissions from brands like Amazon, Target, and Lululemon. Users have the flexibility to include affiliate links in their Linktree accounts, giving them opportunities to leverage affiliate marketing effortlessly. Linktree also launched a wallet feature that consolidates earnings from various activities, expanding on their Shop feature to provide creators four additional monetization options.
Among the revenue-generating additions are sponsored links, where brands pay creators to feature products or services. For example, fees can be collected when followers subscribe to services like Hulu through these links. While current payment is based on attribution or conversion, future plans include cost-per-click and cost-per-impression models, enhancing financial opportunities via 'native ads'. Zaccaria emphasized the broad-reaching potential of these ad strategies.
Creators will also benefit from the 'Rewards' program, which incentivizes milestone achievements with bonus commissions and potential brand collaborations. These updates come as Linktree attempts to further differentiate itself from competitors such as Beacons and Shorby, while also rivaling creator platforms like Patreon. Zaccaria noted that the goal is to assist creators in building sustainable incomes through these diversified revenue streams, managed effortlessly across personal dashboards.
As part of its initiative to empower creators, Linktree's user base of over 70 million can access all these features through the platform's new 'Earn' section. By consolidating earnings into a single wallet, it simplifies the financial management process for creators, offering a holistic view of income and making financial transactions seamless. This suite of features reflects Linktree's commitment to fostering creative growth and innovation among its user community.
