Microsoft gives Copilot a voice and vision in its biggest redesign yet
Microsoft overhauls Copilot, adding voice and vision features to create a more personalized AI assistant, led by CEO Mustafa Suleyman.
Microsoft unveiled a comprehensive overhaul of its Copilot AI assistant, incorporating voice and vision capabilities to personalize user experience. This transformation is led by Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, who envisions a more supportive and useful technology era.
Copilot's voice features enable users to interact with the assistant in a natural, conversational manner, similar to OpenAI's Advanced Voice Mode. The vision capabilities allow Copilot to engage with content users view on webpages, offering helpful suggestions and information based on what the user is looking at.
The updated Copilot also includes a reimagined interface, introducing features such as Copilot Daily, an audio summary of news and weather, and Think Deeper, which provides detailed answers to complex questions. The new experience is initially available in specific regions and will expand over time.
