: Microsoft is hiking the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to $19.99 per month starting September 12th. Existing console subscription options will be revised and phased out for new users on July 10th.

Microsoft plans to raise the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to $19.99 per month starting September 12th, a $3 increase. PC Game Pass will also see a hike to $11.99 per month but will continue to offer day-one titles.

In addition, a new Xbox Game Pass Standard subscription priced at $14.99 per month will be introduced without day-one access to first-party games. This new tier will include online console multiplayer access, which was previously absent from the console-only subscription.

Existing Xbox Game Pass for Console subscribers won't see immediate changes, but new users won't be able to select this option starting July 10th. The changes precede the addition of major titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to the service later in the year and aim to offset costs related to adding Activision’s Call of Duty series.
