: Netflix is eliminating most of its interactive programming, retaining only four significant titles by December. These include Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend. The removal marks a shift as Netflix focuses on other tech ventures, despite the initial promise to expand interactive content. The platform still engages in gaming, although it recently closed its AAA game studio.

Netflix is paring down its interactive offerings, retaining just four out of the 24 'Interactive Specials' available now. Titles like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend will remain, while others like Carmen Sandiego, Boss Baby, and Puss in Boots are being removed.

The decision comes despite previous promises from Netflix to expand its interactive content, indicating a shift in the company's strategic focus. Chrissy Kelleher, a company spokesperson, mentioned the feature had served its purpose but is now seen as limiting when compared to other technological areas Netflix wishes to explore.

Former Netflix executive Mike Verdu shared that the company isn’t interested in producing more interactive titles. Nonetheless, Netflix continues to engage in gaming, offering a range of mobile games for subscribers even as it recently shut down its AAA game studio.
