Nintendo is closing out the summer with a 40-minute showcase
Nintendo will host a 40-minute showcase with no mention of the Switch successor, featuring two consecutive events focused on indie and partner games.
Nintendo is concluding the summer season with a 40-minute event set for tomorrow. Beginning at 7AM PT / 10AM ET, it includes an indie world showcase followed by a partner direct. These back-to-back events are packaged to offer viewers a blend of indie and partner game news.
In June, Nintendo had already announced significant first-party game titles like a new Mario & Luigi game and a new Legend of Zelda installment featuring Zelda. The company also revealed that Metroid Prime 4 would finally exit its prolonged development phase by 2025.
Viewers should temper expectations for any groundbreaking announcements during these showcases. Hollow Knight: Silksong by Team Cherry, an eagerly anticipated indie game, might get a spotlight. However, Nintendo has explicitly stated there will be no discussion about the Nintendo Switch successor, rumored to launch in Q1 2025.
