Nvidia to showcase Blackwell server installations at Hot Chips 2024
Nvidia to present Blackwell servers at Hot Chips 2024 featuring AI, cooling tech, and chip design advances.
Nvidia is set to showcase its advanced Blackwell tech stack and server configurations at Hot Chips 2024, with previews starting this weekend. Attendees will gain insights into Nvidia's latest AI hardware, including liquid cooling tech and AI-driven chip design methods. The roadmap indicates future releases such as the Blackwell Ultra in 2025, Vera CPUs, and Rubin GPUs by 2026, and Vera Ultra in 2027, initially revealed at Computex last June.
Key presentations will cover Nvidia's comprehensive Blackwell platform, incorporating several components like the Grace CPU and BlueField data processing unit. Their Quasar Quantization System aims to boost data processing efficiency, making use of FP4 LLM operations, and the Nvidia GB200 NVL72 will also be detailed, featuring 72 Blackwell GPUs and 36 Grace CPUs.
Additionally, Nvidia's participation in the U.S. Department of Energy's COOLERCHIPS program to develop sustainable cooling solutions using their Omniverse platform will be discussed. Agent-based AI systems for tasks like timing report analysis and cell cluster optimization will be highlighted, with notable work recently recognized at the IEEE International Workshop on LLM-Aided Design.
