Polymarket partners with Perplexity to display AI-powered news summaries for betting events.

: Polymarket collaborates with Perplexity to showcase news summaries for events, enhancing user experience. Perplexity will create sharable pages using its Pages feature and display them on its Discover page. It will generate visuals using the AI platform Tako and employ Polymarket's data for better visual representation.

Polymarket, a prediction marketplace enabling bets on real-world events, has joined forces with the AI search engine Perplexity to present news summaries related to these events. Users clicking on an event in Polymarket will now see news snippets gathered via Perplexity, along with a search box for further inquiries. Furthermore, Polymarket will feature a column on Perplexity's Discover page using Perplexity's Pages feature, offering easily shareable information from search results.

Perplexity aims to build more third-party partnerships for diverse content in its Discover section and will visualize data from Polymarket using the AI platform Tako. Shayne Coplan, Polymarket's CEO, highlighted the benefits of this deepened partnership, reflecting a commitment to providing high-quality information in an increasingly cluttered web environment. Following a successful collaboration with Substack, Polymarket sees this new cooperation as another step toward expanding its content delivery.

For Perplexity, partnering with Polymarket represents an opportunity to grow the brand through API services, even though it remains consumer-focused. Dmitry Shevelenko, Perplexity’s chief business officer, noted growing interest from developers, enterprises, and publishers in the API, despite existing criticisms of Perplexity for web scraping. Supported by investors like NEA, IVP, Sequoia, and Jeff Bezos, Perplexity's recent valuation growth underscores its monumental expansion and ambition within the AI-driven search domain.
