: SpaceX introduced Starlink Mini, a portable satellite internet system priced at $599. The compact dish weighs around 2.5 pounds and offers speeds over 100 Mbps. It is designed as a low-cost backup or travel internet solution.

SpaceX has launched the Starlink Mini, a more portable version of its popular satellite internet system, priced at $599. This new iteration is light enough to fit inside a backpack and weighs just 2.5 pounds, roughly 60% of the standard Starlink dish weight.

Early customers have the option to add the Mini Roam service for an additional $30 per month, which offers 50 gigabytes of data. This makes the total monthly cost $150 for those already on the standard Starlink residential service plan, although there is no stand-alone Mini Roam plan currently.

The first units are expected to arrive by July, making it an appealing option for travelers and those in need of a reliable backup internet connection. Designed to expand connectivity in previously inaccessible regions, the Starlink Mini leverages SpaceX's network of over 6,000 satellites, already serving more than 3 million customers in 100 countries.
