Square Enix is bringing Final Fantasy XIV to mobile

Square Enix has announced a version of Final Fantasy XIV crafted for mobile devices, with Lightspeed Studios leading development. This studio, known for PUBG Mobile, brings expertise in adapting large games for portable platforms.

The game is a fresh take set in the realm of Eorzea with features from the original, including music and a wide selection of races. Players can choose from nine jobs, switch between them using an armoury system, and engage in crafting and gathering tasks.

FFXIV Mobile will support both single-player and multiplayer modes with enhanced graphics optimized for mobile. Available first in China, it promises a broad release on Android and iOS, although pricing is yet unconfirmed.
