Stripe brings aboard new head of ‘startup and VC partnerships’

Previously, Bradley held various roles including chief revenue officer at Synapse and co-founded Kinly, which was acquired by Greenwood in 2023. She also invests as a limited partner in funds like Cowboy Ventures and Ganas Ventures. Stripe is actively acquiring startups, including talks to purchase stablecoin platform Bridge for $1 billion.

Asya Bradley has taken on the role of head of Startup & Venture Capital Partnerships at Stripe, a prominent name in the payments sector. While her official announcement was made on February 2 via LinkedIn, records indicate she joined back in November. In her diverse career, Bradley served as chief revenue officer for Synapse, which ceased operations in 2024, leaving many customers unprepared. She later became VP of revenue at Sila and co-founded Kinly, which targeted financial services for Black Americans and was acquired in 2023 by Greenwood.

Kinly, with previous names like First Boulevard and Tenth, managed to raise around $20 million in funding from notable investors, including Gabrielle Union and Marshawn Lynch. Beyond her executive roles, Bradley is a limited partner in various venture funds such as Cowboy Ventures and Ganas Ventures, also contributing to the Cap Table Coalition's investment committee. Richie Serna of Finix collaborated in forming the Cap Table Coalition, focusing on diversifying investors.

Stripe runs a startup partner program benefiting firms and accelerators with exclusive advantages. Over the past year, Stripe made significant acquisitions, with recent negotiations to purchase the stablecoin platform Bridge for $1 billion. In addition, Stripe acquired Lemon Squeezy, a company managing global sales tax for digital products, marking its third purchase in fourteen months and at least its fifteenth acquisition.
