Supergiant's final patch for Hades II is likely the last before its launch

Supergiant releases its final patch for Hades II, signaling an anticipated launch.

: Supergiant Games has shared that the latest update for Hades II, called the Unseen Update, marks its final patch before the game’s full release. The update, which rolled out on June 17, focuses mainly on minor adjustments to existing items and abilities and balancing the Vow of Rivals Encounters. Unfortunately, console owners will need to wait as launch begins on PC, Switch, and Switch 2, with PlayStation and Xbox versions following later. The game is expected to run smoothly at 60 fps, with the Switch 2 offering a 1080p display.

Supergiant Games has released Patch 10 for Hades II, marking what the studio calls its “final early access update” before the game’s full launch. This patch does not add new content but focuses on balance refinements and bug fixes. The development team stated that their efforts are now dedicated to completing the story and final polishing for version 1.0. There is still no official release date, but the update signals that the game is nearing full completion.

The patch includes numerous gameplay tweaks, such as adjustments to prevent excessive stun-locking, rebalancing weapons like the Witch’s Staff, Sister Blades, and Argent Skull, and toning down damage from Hestia’s Scorch effect. Armor mechanics have been reworked, and several bugs were addressed—including a fix for input issues with the axe weapon. These changes are designed to smooth out rough edges and improve combat pacing.

One notable highlight is the implementation of small, player-requested features like Melinoë now greeting her frog companion Frinos in the training area. The patch also fixes an issue with Godsent hexes that caused them to overwrite valuable Boon effects. These updates demonstrate Supergiant’s continued attention to community feedback throughout early access.

Supergiant has emphasized that the remaining development work will focus on narrative closure and polish. While small bug fixes may continue, no further major content patches are expected before version 1.0. The team’s roadmap suggests they are deep into final QA and story development.

Patch 10 effectively closes the early access chapter of Hades II. With its systems, combat, and content largely finalized, the game is now on the cusp of its full release. Players can anticipate a refined and complete experience when version 1.0 finally drops.
