Switch 2 reportedly getting Halo and another big Xbox game, with Microsoft set to be a "very big supporter"
Switch 2 to get Halo, Xbox support, and FF7 games in 2025.
Microsoft is reportedly planning to become a prominent supporter of the anticipated Switch 2 console from Nintendo. Among its plans, Microsoft aims to introduce significant Xbox titles such as Halo: The Masterchief Collection and Flight Simulator to the platform in 2025, also releasing them on PS5 as part of its multiplatform strategy.
NateTheHate, a reliable source, suggests that Microsoft will enhance its current lineup for Switch 2, potentially incorporating 4K support. Titles like Sea of Thieves and possibly Hi-Fi Rush are speculated to make the transition, although news about Tango Gameworks' closure complicates potential releases.
In parallel, Square Enix is also positioning its flagship titles, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth, for a launch on Switch 2, as well as Xbox Series X/S. With the official reveal of Switch 2 expected before March 31st, it seems both companies are aggressively widening their reach across platforms.
