Take Blip secured $60M from SoftBank and Microsoft, plans global expansion.
Founded in 1999 by Roberto Oliveira and his partners, Take Blip has evolved from a cellphone store to a leading text-message marketing firm. Over the years, it has amassed a clientele exceeding 4,000 brands, including globally recognized names like GM, Dell, and Claro. The company provides AI-driven chatbot systems and analytics tools, enabling over 50 million conversations daily on platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram.
The firm was bootstrapped until 2020, and in 2023, it secured a $60 million Series C funding led by SoftBank, with participation from Microsoft. The investment elevates its total funding to $230 million, bolstering plans for international expansion and product innovation. The company also reported annual recurring revenue surpassing $100 million in 2022.
Take Blip’s approach is to enhance user experience with conversational marketing tools, while its software monitors customer rep performance. With over 1,500 employees and offices in Brazil, Mexico, and Spain, Oliveira noted that their achievements position the firm for profitable growth. Recent acquisitions such as Stilingue and Gus underscore its expansion strategy.
