After months offline due to renovations, Barea features bug fixes and performance improvements using VSA-100 chips. Testing aims to evaluate efficiency and stability of memory signal rerouting.

Oscar Barea, a 3dfx hardware enthusiast, is reviving the VoodooX project, a tribute to the vintage 3dfx brand. After several months offline due to home renovations, Barea returns to update the VoodooX card's design, now sporting a festive white PCB alongside HDMI, DVI, and VGA interface support.

The latest version addresses minor bugs and enhances performance by rerouting the memory signals. Barea plans to evaluate the improved performance by testing the updated 3D accelerator with various demos and games to ensure it works as intended.

Using brand-new VSA-100 chips, Barea has been developing the VoodooX card since 2022, designed to toggle memory configurations between 32MB and 64MB. The project brings new life to the obsolete 3dfx technology, maintaining the legacy of Voodoo's groundbreaking graphics acceleration in the contemporary tech landscape.
