Google unveils the Google TV Streamer at $99.99, boasting superior performance, smart home integration, and remote finder features, shipping September 24th.
Google has announced the Google TV Streamer, a successor to its Chromecast, priced at $99.99. The device features significantly improved performance, Thread and Matter integration, and new conveniences like a remote finder and built-in ethernet, set for shipping on September 24th.
Designed to be placed prominently under the TV in either porcelain or hazel, this new device supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It boasts a processor that’s 22 percent faster, double the RAM, and 32GB of storage, although it requires the user to provide their own HDMI cable.
The included remote has been redesigned with easily accessible volume buttons and a customizable button. Leveraging AI through Gemini, the streamer offers content summaries and reviews, though its standard Google TV interface generally remains unchanged.
