This hand-crampingly tiny GBA clone has a 0.85-inch screen
Thumby Color, a $49 GBA clone, features a 0.85-inch screen, 150MHz Raspberry Pi processor, and 16MB storage, but can't play retro games.
The Thumby Color is a minute handheld gaming device, modeled after the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and priced at $49. It measures just two inches, with a directional pad, shoulder buttons, a rumble motor, and a 0.85-inch screen featuring a resolution of 128×128 pixels.
It runs on a 150MHz Raspberry Pi RP2350 processor with 16MB of storage, but it doesn't have the capacity to play retro games or hold many ROM files. Instead, it comes preloaded with six open-source games, and MicroPython programming is used for game development.
TinyCircuits opted for a Kickstarter campaign to fund the Thumby Color, offering different color options starting from $49. The campaign has several options, including a Kickstarter-exclusive black version priced at $75. Despite potential crowdfunding risks, TinyCircuits has a history of successfully shipping Kickstarter products.
