In response to privacy concerns, the company ensures the images remain anonymized and encrypted by employing TLS 1.2 or higher. Throne assures that data collected is solely used for health insights and users can request full access or deletion of their data.

Initially focusing on healthcare staffing, the company pivoted into consumer hardware after raising $1.2 million. Targeting the aging population and those with digestive conditions, the product is priced at $499, or $299 during pre-order.
