Total War: Warhammer 3's dwarfs will be able to turtle properly in the next update, and the other reworks seem decent too
Update 5.2 for Total War: Warhammer 3 introduces new features for dwarfs, Chaos Cult reworks, the Ivory Roads update for Cathay, and Unusual Locations.
Creative Assembly's 17-minute June chat discussed more substantial updates between DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3, now evident in the 5.2 update. Dwarfs will receive a new feature called the Deeps, allowing them to expand settlements downward, while Chaos Cults and Cathay's Ivory Roads will also be reworked.
In addition to these features, the 5.2 update introduces a mini feature named Unusual Locations, which adds flavorful landmarks and organizations to settlements. These enrich the gameplay by providing unique trade-offs such as boosted control and reduced corruption or increased fealty with added Chaos Undivided corruption.
The new features aim to make campaigns more engaging and tempting for players to explore overlooked factions. Inspired by recent releases, these enhancements position the dwarfs to offer a fresh and immersive experience in future campaigns.
