Two more AMD graphics cards join the Steam survey, as Team Red achieves record CPU share
AMD's CPU share hits record, two more graphics cards join Steam survey.
The Steam survey for November shows a notable rise in AMD's CPU market share, now at a record 35.7%, as the company capitalizes on Intel's Raptor Lake issues and the popularity of its Ryzen 7 9800X3D chip. Meanwhile, AMD's Radeon RX 7700 XT and Radeon RX 6750 GRE 10GB graphics cards have finally entered the Steam survey charts, each capturing a 0.17% share.
The graphics section of the survey indicates that the RTX 4060 mobile variant is on the verge of overtaking the RTX 3060 as the most popular GPU. Additionally, the Nvidia-dominated market sees over three-quarters of participants using one of Team Green's GPUs, although the RTX 3060's lead has diminished slightly.
On the operating systems front, Windows 11 is gaining traction, with a 4% increase in user share, likely due to the approaching end-of-support for Windows 10. The Oculus Quest 2's long-standing lead as the most popular VR headset is decreasing, as the popularity of the Meta Quest 3 rises.
