Uptime Industries aims to enhance local AI use with a product dubbed 'Lemony AI' or 'AI-in-a-box'
Lemony AI, a new handheld AI device by Uptime, aims to improve on-premise AI adoption.

Uptime Industries has launched a new product called Lemony AI, described as an “AI-in-a-box” solution designed to bring generative AI capabilities directly to local environments. Roughly the size of a sandwich and consuming just 65 watts of power, each unit can run large language models with up to 75 billion parameters, supporting tasks like AI agents and automated workflows without cloud reliance.
Each Lemony AI node supports up to five users and is designed to be easily stackable for larger teams. The system is plug-and-play, requiring no specialized IT setup, making it accessible for organizations that need secure, local AI processing while maintaining control over sensitive data.
A key benefit of Lemony AI is its on-premise architecture, which ensures that data remains fully isolated and secure. This feature is especially appealing to sectors with strict compliance needs such as healthcare, finance, legal, and government, where cloud-based AI solutions may pose privacy risks.
The company has formed strategic partnerships with IBM and JetBrains to strengthen its offering. IBM provides enterprise-grade language models, while JetBrains brings integrated AI coding tools. Together, these integrations make Lemony AI a more complete, self-contained AI platform tailored for practical deployment.
Backed by $2 million in seed funding from True Ventures and others, Uptime Industries plans to expand Lemony OS to other hardware, including Nvidia’s DGX Spark systems. The service starts at $499 per month per node, with each node supporting up to five users, and aims to grow into team-oriented clustered AI setups.
