Hideaki Itsuno, the veteran developer behind Dragon's Dogma 2 and Devil May Cry, announced his departure from Capcom after an impressive tenure of 30 years and five months. He shared this news on X/Twitter, telling his followers about his plans to develop new games in a different environment starting from September 2024.
Itsuno expressed his gratitude for the long-term support he has received for his games and characters. He hopes that his future projects will be as memorable, if not more so, than his previous works. Despite leaving Capcom, he asked fans to continue their support for the company's games and characters.
There is no clarity yet on whether Itsuno will be joining another gaming studio or planning to establish his own.
