: Warner Bros. has acquired Player First Games, the developer behind the popular MultiVersus brawler. Co-founders Tony Huynh and Chris White will still lead the company but will report to Carlos Barbosa. MultiVersus, which includes characters like Batman and Bugs Bunny, is available on various platforms excluding Nintendo Switch.

Warner Bros. has acquired Player First Games, the studio behind the free-to-play platform fighter MultiVersus. The game features a roster of characters from WB properties including Batman, Bugs Bunny, and Rick and Morty, making it a logical acquisition for Warner Bros.

The day-to-day workings of Player First Games are not expected to change significantly. Co-founders Tony Huynh and Chris White will continue to lead the company but will now report to Carlos Barbosa, Vice President and Studio Head of Warner Bros. Games.

Tony Huynh expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, noting it would be beneficial for MultiVersus. While future plans for the game have not been announced, Player First Games regularly updates the roster with new characters, and this is expected to continue. MultiVersus is available on multiple platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with crossplay enabled.
